About iPusnas
iPusnas is an application made by the National Library of Indonesia that can be used to view collections, borrow and read available e-books. This application is available in mobile version, desktop version and web version.
Why iPusnas?
I like going to library a lot, including Perpustakaan National Republik Indonesia. And as most of book lovers know, they have their own application. However, when I try the mobile app, I was confused because the book showed in the app was random. Therefore, I try to recreate their mobile app using my own ideation.
When you logged in, you will be directed to first page when they show you most. random. books. ever.
Redesigning Homepage
Using my own ideation, I created the Homepage where I can see my last read, suggestion of books related to my last read, most read, trending and newest book from Perpusnas.

Displayed information and books are random
Solution
Showing categorized books based on recent read, most read, trending, or newest collection.
Book Detail
I also redesigned the look and feel of Book Detail to make it clearer and more concise, so that users can scan available information without scrolling first and enhancing Synopsis part so that users can first read the synopsis of the book they want to borrow.
Social Media Response
I like to share my works on social media, and this revamp is being one of it. It’s intriguing to read my friend’s comments and replies (some are the best) and they inspire me to make better design.
I also like to ask my friends about design decision and reading their feedback.
Closing
It’s fun doing revamp on things I like because it makes me think what kind of information user need on a book app. would I believe that there are still many things I can explore related to this app.
